Meadows asks federal judge for immediate ruling to block arrest

In court papers filed in federal court for the Northern District of Georgia on Tuesday, Mark Meadows asked a judge for an immediate ruling on his effort to move his Fulton County case to federal court or an order that would prevent Fulton County's district attorney from arresting him.

“Granting removal immediately and notifying the state court is the most efficient way to effectuate relief,” they wrote. “Alternatively, the Court can effectuate relief by issuing an order to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis — who is a party to the matter before the Court—prohibiting her from arresting or causing the arrest of Mr. Meadows before the Monday hearing.”

Meadows' attorneys said in the 19-page filing that Willis' office on Monday "informed counsel of their firm terms for a consent bond and made clear that Mr. Meadows would be arrested" if he did not voluntarily surrender by Willis' noon deadline on Friday Aug. 25.

....I predict that there will be no arrest of anybody this week. Fani doesn’t know what the hell she is doing as evidenced by trying to put all these lawyers on trial at the same time. She would be lucky to conclude that case by the year 3000.

I fought a billionaire in court for 15 years. And, it was just me and him. These defendants have all the money in the world to fight Fani. Hell she could be arguing pretrial motions for just one defendant for weeks!

And they are accusing HIM of interfering in an election because he merely questioned its validity? It's infuriating.

I remember clear as day, Hillary would even disappear for an entire week, the NY Post saying "Where's Hillary".

Why did she sit on her ass? Because like Biden she knew the fix was in, so much so 2 weeks before the election she declared herself the winner only Trump was more popular than they thought.

I believe Meadows was one of the advisors who convinced Trump to stand-down when a few others were recommending limited martial law due to the rampant voter fraud. They hoped Pence and state legislatures would help them and were afraid Trump might be impeached or arrested.

I watch Greta instead of Bret- she’s been fair AND has spent much of her broadcasts on Trumps indictments. Also, the Fulton jail is being sued .. pics show the filth in this jail. Nasty. Mentally ill man died in the jail recently. Have not seen this reported on any other network. Greta shows the bias of the prosecutor towards Pres Trump.
