The Health and Human Services Department and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority on Tuesday announced a $1.5 billion initiative through Project NextGen for its partners to develop the "next generation" of COVID-19 vaccines and therapeutics.
Several new COVID-19 variants have emerged and HHS officials said the department is closely monitoring the situation as the vaccines are developed.

From me as well. Do they really believe that those who didn’t get the vaccine previously will suddenly change their mind and line up for this version? The “next generation”? At the rate the government is going, there will be no next generation.
Did the House authorize this spending or is this simply the Biden Administration tapping “its” taxpayer slush fund of scores of billions again?
Big Pharma has a beautiful business model. The government pays for the development of product and purchases at a substantial profit for the company. The profits are recycled in the form of multimillion dollar bonuses for top executives of Pharma companies, royalties to scientists in the federal bureaucracy, huge advertising budgets to buy off criticism by the mainstream media, and huge campaign fund payoffs to politicians.
Repeat annually.
