RE: Limits on drivers and someday cars with “a built in speed inhibitor.”

The Marching Morons by C.M. Kornbluth was a science fiction story in Galaxy magazine in 1951.

The high number of stupid people having lots of children and high IQ couples having few has led to a large majority of total fools who have to be taken care of all the time.

Note: Replacement rate for Americans is not being reached today. Average children in a family is under 2. Women do not get married, have abortions or delay having their one child until later in life.

No way of knowing how high IQs are for the much lower number of children being born. Anecdotal evidence shows highly educated women have fewer children.

There are an average of 0.78 kids per family in the USA.
2022 data reveals that American families had an average of 1.94 of their own children under 18 — a drop from 2.33 in 1960. TestHut.com May 16, 2023

Due to health problems, sterilization was necessary in my case. I was always careful, but with me in kidney failure and pre-eclampsia in my family, a pregnancy surely would have killed me. I never wanted to make the choice between my life or my child’s - the drugs I had to take would have been more thorough than an abortion.

There are days where I’m horribly sad that I couldn’t have kids. I’ve had coworkers tell me I’d be a great mom, and my first job was at a daycare; they have no clue that I’m sterile.

Can’t do anything about it now. I’m rounding the corner to 40, and I’m not where I hoped I’d be in life when I was a teen. The sh¡t economy and the fact that I was out of the work force for almost 15 years was a financial killer.

Avoid being dependent on the government at all costs. It’s why I’m stuck where I am; I have disposable income for the first time in many years, and I STILL won’t be able to catch up to the point where I can afford a home, let alone kids.
