Same with Ethanol
Ethanol is hydroscopic...that is it absorbs water
So cannot be transported in existing pipe lines...must be tanker delivered.
Also the water in the fuel doesn't help the engine...and it dissolves fuel lines in antique motors
And antique motor launches
Just to clarify - Iowa - Corn belt - Corn for fuel - does nothing but cause your engine problem
Luckily Ethanol is hydroscopic. For my 1949 Chevy truck I add a cup of water to each gallon of gasoline in a five-gallon bottle and shake it up. In about a minute, the water absorbs the ethanol and drops to the bottom of the bottle and I siphon the ethanol free gasoline off the top.
