You do know that secret and classified material can be mailed through the Post Office.
CONFIDENTIAL materials may be sent via U.S. Postal Service certified, first class, express, or registered mail or government courier service.
SECRET materials may ONLY be sent via U.S. Postal Service express or registered mail or government courier service.
The President sets the rules on how classified information is handled.
From your link:
"You must not remove classified material from official premises except to conduct official meetings or conferences, and the material must be returned to safe storage facilities immediately upon the conclusion of the meeting or conference. Residences are not considered official premises, and you must not remove classified material for reasons of personal convenience or keep it overnight in personal custody."
When Congressional and Presidential delegations travel abroad, they carry classified material with them. More often than not, they keep the material in their hotel rooms overnight. A staff member could be designated to hold the material under 24 hour watch. They could request approved classified storage containers from an Embassy or Consulate, but that has been the exception in my experience. Or they could request the Embassy hold the materials for them.
Does Trump's storage area in Mar-a-lago constitute approved storage? Despite having 24 hour a day protection by the USSS, probably not. But the classification level of material are we talking about and the marked classification may not be accurate. The very fact that the President has them may indicate they are no longer classified.
So what, a lot of them take illegal drugs or break other laws as well, doesn't make it legal or legitimate.
As I said, you are naive.
Sure, some people in high places get away with things they shouldn't, but that doesn't mean they're not breaking the law. This is a really weak argument. A true person of honor believe those of higher rank should actually be held to higher standard of behavior, not a lower one.
Ditto on naivete. The treatment of Trump (Russia Hoax) and the J6 political prisoners by Deep State and the Uniparty should disabuse you of the belief that we have men of honor running our government. Men of honor like Lt. Col Stuart Scheller, USMC, are punished for being honorable. Austin and Milley should have resigned after the disastrous exit from Afghanistan.
Well thanks for agreeing with me on that one. A President can't simply "just think it" as those like Patel and Davis claim, and the process be legally complete.
But the President is the author of the rules. The entire classification system originates with him. If he thinks it is worthwhile to share classified information with another government, he can.
Once again I agree. Trump is the one at fault for believing Presidential Records are "his" after he left office. Trump and his surrogates on Bannon's show and elsewhere continuing to spread the incorrect interpretation that the documents actually belong to Trump are only making the problem worse, by purposefully misleading millions of people for questionable political purposes.
It is not as clear cut as you make it sound. There can be conflicts between what the President considers personal and what NARA thinks should be Presidential. The Clinton sock drawer case is one of them.
Well you can believe that if you want, but so far all the evidence is that he not only had them, but was being quite loose with them. This is based on Trump's own voice on recorded tape, the supposed testimony to that by some in the room, and his Chief of Staff saying the war plan was laying on a couch at Trump's golf club.
Have you ever seen contingency war plans? They are voluminous. It would take a hundred Trumps to wave them in the air. Have you ever been in the military or worked for the government?
No, I acknowledged all the "evidence" you provided. I just correctly identified it as evidence of POTENTIAL fraud, which is not the same as fraud. I gave the analogy of Trump leaving his front door wide open, by signing that bill that gave hundreds of millions of dollars to states to implement mail in voting, which leaves great POTENTIAL that the election might be stolen by mail in ballots. But it doesn't prove that it was. Every attempt to prove that, even by Trump's two separate teams of professional investigators, turned up nothing worth reporting.
Wrong. In the case of Georgia, the many violations I provided are felonies. They violated election law. The elections should not have been certified. True the Vote
Yes, Gain of Function research WAS re-instituted under Trump. Where's your proof he didn't know? He had just been meeting with Bill Gates, where Gates said research was the main focus of their discussion. He also offered Bill Gates the Chief Scientist of the White House position, which thankfully Gates turned down.
Where is your proof that he did know? At Congressional hearings, Fauci denied to Rand Paul that they were conducting gain of function research. How many people even know what it was before Covid? I doubt Trump would even be aware of or understand such research. Who would tell him?
I'm a believer of the Bible, where homosexuality is called "an abomination." Even if you don't believe the Bible, homosexuality is also a destructive behavior that leads to an average lifespan of only 50 years old, which is not only a horrible destruction of life, but a huge burden on our medical infrastructure.
Does Ron DeSantis hold your views?
So no, I don't support Rick Grennell, who was the chief ringleader in putting rainbow flags back out in front of our embassies after Pompeo directed they all be taken down. You want rainbow flags in front of all our embassies, worldwide? Well that's what we'll get if Grennell becomes Secretary of State under Trump, as Bannon often recommends. I wan that guy as far away from our embassies as possible, as that does NOT reflect America or our ideals, nor ones we should be projecting.
A Trump Administration won't allow it regardless of who is SecState. But a BIDEN Administration does allow it.
Spoken like a true Trump disciple. It's all about celebrity, personality, and power now, to them. Trump is all knowing, all powerful, "the man who should not be questioned."
You are missing the point and context. Why didn't you include the sentence that followed? Whoever collects the most ballots, not legal votes will win. Fetterman, Biden, and Hobbes are prime examples. Unless the GOP can stop election fraud, the Dems will "win" again. 70% of Reps believe Trump won in 2020. The election was stolen. We have ample evidence it was.
I get it. You hate Trump. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Like a$$holes, everyone has one.
Well, could be, but if so, they're violating the very rules you just posted. Here's what you wrote, from the policy:
"Residences are not considered official premises, and you must not remove classified material for reasons of personal convenience or keep it overnight in personal custody."
But the President is the author of the rules.
A FORMER President legally enacted those rules, as part of an official EO implementation process. That does not excuse or allow a subsequent President to operate outside of those rules, unless he first rescinds that former EO and replaces it with a newer one of his own. Trump did neither. Therefore, he is/was still bound to them, as he should be.
In the case of Georgia, the many violations I provided are felonies. They violated election law.
Hopefully they are being prosecuted then. So how many votes was it? I'm guessing nowhere near the 11,000 Trump said he needed to overturn the results.
I doubt Trump would even be aware of or understand such research. Who would tell him?
As I already said, Bill Gates. Gates met with Trump at Trump Tower immediately after Trump was elected President, to discuss "innovation."
As it that's not enough, at basically the exact same time that the Trump administration was re-implementing Gain of Function research in the US, Trump was offering Gates the job as Chief Scientist at the White House.
A Trump Administration won't allow (flying the gay pride flag) regardless of who is SecState.
Apparently Trump will allow it, because Rick Grennell did just that. His punishment? A promotion!
Gay Ambassador Flies Rainbow Flag at Embassy in Berlin.
I get it. You hate Trump.
No, I don't hate Trump at all. I am however, concerned about the path he is leading the country on, when he has so many enablers who refuse to ever criticize him, for anything.
LOL. We have a two-tiered justice system. Some violators are more equal than others. Biden has held classified material in multiple unsecure spaces since his days as a Senator. Mike Pence had unauthorized classified material in his possession. Hillary had her own server at home with highly classified information on it. She destroyed over 30K emails after receiving a subpoena for them. Compare their treatment with that of Trump who also has something they don't have, the PRA. You are a pedant.
Should he be prosecuted for it? What happened to prosecutorial discretion?
Hopefully they are being prosecuted then. So how many votes was it? I'm guessing nowhere near the 11,000 Trump said he needed to overturn the results.
They are Democrats and crooked Reps. They don't get prosecuted. 364,000 ineligible voters were on the rolls in November 2020 in Georgia just based on residency alone. 67,000 of them voted. And Raffensperger knew and covered it up on the phone call with President Trump. True the vote
I provided this to you earlier about GA. Who says there was no election fraud in GA?
The U.S. District Court found on Oct 11th, 2020 the Dominion Voting System that was used in the November 2020 election is unverifiable to the voter and in violation of two Georgia statues.
There are six sworn affidavits of counterfeit mail-in ballots in Fulton Co. election results scaling into the tens of thousands.
State Farm Arena video shows at least four violations of Georgia election law
Approximately 43,000 DeKalb Co. drop box ballots have no chain of custody forms to authenticate them
Tru-Vote Geo tracking showed evidence of ballot harvesting teams driving repeatedly to drop boxes in Fulton and DeKalb
All 350,000+ original in-person ballot images in Fulton are missing in violation of federal, state retention law
All 393,000+ original ballot images in Cobb are missing in violation of federal, state retention law
At least 17,720 certified in person recount votes have no ballot images in Fulton
18,325 voters had vacant residential addresses according to U.S. Post Office
904 voters were registered at a P.O. Box address, which is illegal
All or large parts of 2,000,000 original ballot images from 70+ Georgia counties are missing
Failure to make mandatory check of ballot envelope signature to signature on file resulted in a 2020 absentee ballot rejection rate drop from 3.47% (in 2018) to 0.34%, which translates to the acceptance and inclusion of approximately 4,400 dubious Fulton County mail-in ballots
The Georgia Senate Judiciary Committee Subcommittee report concluded on December 9, 2020: “The oral testimonies of witnesses on December 3, 2020, and subsequently, the written testimonies submitted by many others, provide ample evidence that the 2020 Georgia General Election was so compromised by systemic irregularities and voter fraud that it should not be certified”.
And I recommend strongly this thread that details the evidence that shockingly suggests that the FBI is shielding two firms closely tied to the Chinese government, which have financed and developed an American election software company for the past 15 years, all while transferring confidential election data back to China. I especially want you to watch/listen to the video in point number three and how True the Vote was treated by the FBI.
As I already said, Bill Gates.
Yeah right. You can't make stuff up about what was said at a meeting between Trump and Gates. It is intellectually dishonest.
Apparently Trump will allow it, because Rick Grennell did just that. His punishment? A promotion!
Trump disallowed it. When asked if Grenell was annoyed that they had been denied permission to fly the flag from the flagpole, the State Department source replied with an emphatic “yes.”
You failed to answer my question about DeSantis. Does he share your views on gays?
No, I don't hate Trump at all. I am however, concerned about the path he is leading the country on, when he has so many enablers who refuse to ever criticize him, for anything.
Please don't gaslight me. You have a serious case of TDS. Your hatred oozes from your every pore.
I don’t hate Trump, or anyone. I often pray for him, as a matter of fact. He has an impact on my life, whether I like it or not. But I’m also not blind to how dangerous to the country he can be. You can just laugh away his attempt to install Bill Gates as the Chief Scientist of the White House, but I sure won’t.
Joe Biden is dangerous to this country. Our open borders have allowed 7 million illegal aliens to enter this country. We are engaged in the Ukraine War that could ensnare us into a direct conflict with a nuclear power. And we are in the process of destroying our gas, oil, and coal industries with his war on fossil fuels. Biden is a corrupt, compromised President whose crime family has taken money from China, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, and Kazakhstan--among others.
Biden is in power until January 20, 2025 and perhaps beyond that to 2029. That is where your real concern should be directed.
During his four years in the WH Trump proved to be beneficial to this country. Our borders were much more secure, no new wars, energy independence, etc. Was he dangerous during those four years?
Biden and the Democrats are by far my number one concern. And by nominating Trump again, I believe we will guarantee their re-election, across the board in Congress too. That’s one of the main reasons I’m supporting DeSantis. Trump’s troubles are merely beginning. He’s so old he might not be even able to put up a good fight much longer either. I see you and others are determined to put ALL you chips on Trump, and do everything you can to destroy every other Republican, but it’s about the most shortsighted thing I’ve ever seen.
The election was stolen in 2020. The only way Biden "wins" is to steal it again, no matter who the Republican nominee is. In 2020 Biden had no coattails. And that was without a dismal record as an incumbent President.
Democrats maintained a majority in the U.S. House as a result of the 2020 elections, winning 222 seats to Republicans' 213. Democrats flipped three seats and Republicans flipped fifteen, including one held by a Libertarian in 2020.
Again, issues and the candidates no longer matter.
An eye-popping 77% of Americans feel that President Biden is too old to effectively govern if he wins a second term in office, according to a new survey.
Misgivings about the octogenarian’s age were shared across the board, with 89% of Republicans concerned about Biden’s age hindering a second term and 69% of Democrats feeling the same way, per an Associated Press-NORC poll released Monday.
And what exactly has Trump done to stop that from happening? He was donated $250M for that exact purpose, but it now appears that money was used for things like new gold fixtures in his airplane, and Melania’s hair appointments.
An eye-popping 77% of Americans feel that President Biden is too old to effectively govern…
I don’t think it’s eye popping at all. The only ones who don’t agree with that are probably old themselves and are trying to guard against age discrimination. But this is horrible news for Trump as well, who is almost the same exact age. Before you hoot and howl, they’re both well passed the average life expectancy limit, for starters. And if Trump is still taking all those boosters he’s tried to shame others into takiing…
More baseless, unsubstantiated allegations. This is your MO.
I don’t think it’s eye popping at all. The only ones who don’t agree with that are probably old themselves and are trying to guard against age discrimination. But this is horrible news for Trump as well, who is almost the same exact age.
Trump is about 4 years younger than Biden. Trump was born on June 14, 1946 and just turned 77. Biden was born on November 20, 1942 and will turn 81 in about three months. These are facts, which are easy to find yet you claim they are "almost the same exact age." It is a provable lie.
Before you hoot and howl, they’re both well passed the average life expectancy limit, for starters.
Wrong. Life expectancy tells us the average number of years of life a person who has attained a given age can expect to live.
Based on SS Data for males Trump at 77 can expect to live on average another 9.32 years. Biden at 81 can expect to live on average another 7.25 years.
If Trump is elected at age 78 in 2024, on average, he will live another 8.77 years, more than enough to serve out his second term. But it is not a matter of age, but rather having the physical and mental capacity to do the job. Trump is a vigorous 77 year old with no real evidence of mental decline. Biden on the other hand is in serious decline both physically and mentally.
As I said, not much difference. They’re both roughly 80, far too old to President in my opinion, and in the opinion of millions of others. Maybe even close to 77% of all Americans feel that’s too old if that poll is to be trusted.
Gaslighting again. You said that they were about the same exact age when there is 4 years difference in age, but age is not the only criterion. Trump is a vigorous 77 who has all his faculties. He is able to carry out the duties of President. Biden doesn’t pass the eye test.
I just turned 80 this year. You are as young as you feel. Warren Buffet is 92 years old and still going strong. Konrad Adenauer resigned as Chancellor of West Germany at the age of 87 and remained head of the governing CDU until his retirement at 90. One size doesn’t fit all.
Congratulations on that. A truly great accomplishment. But it does feed into my characterization that it's often older people who don't think Trump, or even Biden, is too old.
I've enjoyed our debate. Apparently we both think we won. I guess we can just leave it at that, for now. Take care, my friend, always appreciate your posts.
