Listened to the quote in full.
Governor DeSantis gave a well reasoned response to the question, with actions that he has taken signifying his not RINO status. He gave examples of representatives who have been called conservative who are not, and representatives who have been labeled RINOs, who are not.
In closing he made this statement,
“Ultimately, a movement can’t be about the personality of one individual. The movement has got to be about what are you trying to achieve on behalf of the American people, and that has to be based in principle, because if that’s not rooted in principle, if all WE are is listless vessels that are just supposed to follow whatever happens to come down the pike on Truth Social every morning, that’s not going to be a durable movement.”
I am not a diehard DeSantis supporter, in truth, I am confounded by the terrible state of his campaign, because he has been such a great Governor - but - we need to stop eating our own!
DeSantis did not say all of them, or those listless vessels over there, he said “If all WE are is”, and he is correct.
I looked for a transcript of the full quote, and let me tell you, it is the Leftist media that is pushing this - with an edited quote!
