To reiterate what the previous forecast discussion noted,
this is a very unusual circumstance for our forecast area. Similar tropical systems from our past include: Norbert (2014), Nora (1997) and Kathleen (1976).

Once in a lifetime eh?

Unusual—yes. In fact, I believe this is the first time I’ve posted a thread for a Pacific storm.

Thank you for your post. I remember tropical storms headed up north along the Gulf of California. They gave Arizona a good bath, but I couldn’t remember the dates.
