Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy shared a list of what he called 10 truths to social media Thursday, with references to faith, gender, and capitalism.
Ramaswamy, a biotech entrepreneur who is seeking the Republican nomination, shared the ideals on X, starting with, "God is real" and "There are only two genders" — the latter being a contentious claim by those on the Left.
The list also promotes the importance of fossil fuels, condemns "reverse racism," defends the role of parents in choosing their own children's education, and boasts the U.S. Constitution as the "strongest guarantor of freedoms in history."
While many voters may have started the 2024 presidential campaign unfamiliar with Ramaswamy, some polls have the rising Silicon Valley star in the top three among GOP candidates, behind former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
"TRUTH," Ramaswamy said in all-caps, starting the post on X.
His list followed:
TRUTH
1. God is real.
2. There are two genders.
3. Human flourishing requires fossil fuels.
4. Reverse racism is racism.
5. An open border is no border.
6. Parents determine the education of their children.
7. The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind.
8. Capitalism lifts people up from poverty.
9. There are three branches of the U.S. government, not four.
10. The U.S. Constitution is the strongest guarantor of freedoms in history.

The Twits won’t let me watch, because of the “hate speech” below which offended some homosexual moderator, and has been appealed twice with NO answer from the Twits.
Thanks for your appeal

@againstgrmrs Homosexuality is also a mental disorder. Until homosexuals gained influence in the mental health profession, it was known as Same Sex Affection Disorder. It suddenly disappeared from the list.

Sounds great! What’s the downside?
Amen!
Anyway, here's a Rumble link for the same episode:
Good luck.
Brandon’s chicom bribes are real. Juuuust puttin’ it out there...
RE: I saw the interview with Tucker and Vivek is an atheist at heart.
What did he say that gave you that impression?
RE: Sounds great! What’s the downside?
For one, many FReepers don’t trust that he believes in what he says. Cynicism runs rampant here.
RE: He’s an anchor baby
I’ve been asking this for the longest time. Has anybody shown proof that his parents were not American Citizens when he was born?
RE: The guy talks the good talk, but it’s the walk that counts . . .
OK, I’ll bite, how do we know in advance that a candidate ( anyone for that matter ) will walk the talk?
Someone posted their dates of naturalization and his birthdate
“Vivek is only 37 He should run for Congress or the Senate for now and run again for POTUS in about 10 years...”
I don’t think Vivek can win local elections, or even as a representative in a state legislature or Congress. Most of his political interests are very large subjects. He does not have much to say about the little things that get people elected to legislatures.
For Vivek to advance politically, I think he is first going to have be a “big time” appointment to a major office. When and by whom I do not know, but an office like head of the FTC would be along the lines of things he is most familiar with, and in which he could restrain the administrative state in the business arena.
I think Vivek is viewed more favorably in general ways than as a political candidate - people like him more than they are sure they want to elect him.
I think that’s a false statement. People have speculated about when they were naturalized, but I haven’t seen any confirmed dates posted. Do you have a link to what you’re claiming?
It’s suspicious that Ramaswamy hasn’t put an end to questions about this, but I certainly haven’t seen any proof that they weren’t citizens when he was born.
RE: It’s suspicious that Ramaswamy hasn’t put an end to questions about this
Maybe it’s because none of his Republican opponents ( Trump included ) have brought this up as an issue. Why should Vivek put an end to something that was never brought up ( other than here in FR )?
RE: Someone posted their dates of naturalization and his birthdate
Please show us the link to this.

That's some catch, that Catch-22 ;-)
He's a complete phony. A democrat/socialist/communist that wrapped himself up in populist language to try and mimic Legit President Trump.
Not worth a second of anyone's time.
Probably correct, but it’s still kinda refreshing to hear the ‘right’ things being put out there, even if it’s a smoke screen.
Time will tell if the guy’s spots change, but my vote’s on DJT regardless.
The agitprop regarding Vivek Ramaswamy and the allegation of his having ties to the left is because he’s running. If he weren’t, his life story is one that’s shared by millions, including me. Came to America in ‘56 with my parents, from Sicily and so I’m naturalized. But my loyalty is 1000% to America.
I’m voting for President Trump, but I would welcome Mr. Ramaswamy to serve the future cause of America First in any leadership role. A politician that’s bright, articulate, with traditional American values. What’s not to like?
It’s not just here on FR that people are talking about it. FWIW, I think that “natural born” being defined as having two American citizen parents at birth no longer carries weight even if that was the intent of whoever put that term in the constitution and even that intent is open to question. It seems the commonly accepted meaning of the term is just having been born in the United States.
I’ve also seen people asking if Ramaswamy is a dual citizen of the U.S. and India or has he ever been a citizen of India. I don’t believe India allows dual citizenship, so I assume his U.S. citizenship would be the only citizenship he has ever held even if his parents were not U.S citizens at the time of his birth.
” (2) By Descent (Section 4)
A person born outside India on or after 26th January 1950 but before 10th December 1992
is a citizen of India by descent, if his father was a citizen of India by birth at the time of his birth.”
My guess is that his parents weren’t U.S. citizens at the time of his birth, but I don’t think that definiton of natural born is in force now if it ever was. It wouldn’t stop me from voting for him. Trump probably has the nomination locked up anyway, but Ramaswamy as a V.P. pick could happen. I’ll vote for Trump in the general election, but at this point I can’t say I’m really supporting anyone in the primary yet.
