I don’t think Vivek can win local elections, or even as a representative in a state legislature or Congress. Most of his political interests are very large subjects. He does not have much to say about the little things that get people elected to legislatures.
For Vivek to advance politically, I think he is first going to have be a “big time” appointment to a major office. When and by whom I do not know, but an office like head of the FTC would be along the lines of things he is most familiar with, and in which he could restrain the administrative state in the business arena.
I think Vivek is viewed more favorably in general ways than as a political candidate - people like him more than they are sure they want to elect him.
I think that’s a false statement. People have speculated about when they were naturalized, but I haven’t seen any confirmed dates posted. Do you have a link to what you’re claiming?
It’s suspicious that Ramaswamy hasn’t put an end to questions about this, but I certainly haven’t seen any proof that they weren’t citizens when he was born.

Maybe it’s because none of his Republican opponents ( Trump included ) have brought this up as an issue. Why should Vivek put an end to something that was never brought up ( other than here in FR )?

Probably correct, but it’s still kinda refreshing to hear the ‘right’ things being put out there, even if it’s a smoke screen.
Time will tell if the guy’s spots change, but my vote’s on DJT regardless.
The agitprop regarding Vivek Ramaswamy and the allegation of his having ties to the left is because he’s running. If he weren’t, his life story is one that’s shared by millions, including me. Came to America in ‘56 with my parents, from Sicily and so I’m naturalized. But my loyalty is 1000% to America.
I’m voting for President Trump, but I would welcome Mr. Ramaswamy to serve the future cause of America First in any leadership role. A politician that’s bright, articulate, with traditional American values. What’s not to like?
It’s not just here on FR that people are talking about it. FWIW, I think that “natural born” being defined as having two American citizen parents at birth no longer carries weight even if that was the intent of whoever put that term in the constitution and even that intent is open to question. It seems the commonly accepted meaning of the term is just having been born in the United States.
I’ve also seen people asking if Ramaswamy is a dual citizen of the U.S. and India or has he ever been a citizen of India. I don’t believe India allows dual citizenship, so I assume his U.S. citizenship would be the only citizenship he has ever held even if his parents were not U.S citizens at the time of his birth.

My guess is that his parents weren’t U.S. citizens at the time of his birth, but I don’t think that definiton of natural born is in force now if it ever was. It wouldn’t stop me from voting for him. Trump probably has the nomination locked up anyway, but Ramaswamy as a V.P. pick could happen. I’ll vote for Trump in the general election, but at this point I can’t say I’m really supporting anyone in the primary yet.
