I’m chuckling. I have zero respect for government employees, especially IRS agents. They shouldn’t be given weapons because people in those positions are like Barney Fife or mall security guards.

Semi related story: the sportsmen’s club that I belong allows local law enforcement to practice shooting on our range for free. I see them come and practice just prior to their qualification tests. For most of them it’s like cramming for an exam. They don’t shoot very well, but at least they are safe. I would think they would really enjoy shooting from a recreational perspective, and then do it often, but they apparently don’t. More importantly it would seem to be a good idea to shoot regularly because their lives might depend on it.
