The Hungarians seem to be having some success with encouraging people to have children, vs. bringing in immigrants. Which they are resisting, creating friction with EU “leadership.” To their credit.

There's nothing sustainable or desirable about maintaining economic growth through mass immigration. Even on strictly economic terms, the welfare costs and social resentments stirred up by mass immigration - especially illegal immigration - probably cause economic harm which outweighs any possible economic benefit.
The world in 2100 is almost certainly going to have fewer people in it than in 2023, and for the first time in human history, a decline in the population of humans will be because we chose it. The reason for this population decline - prosperity and economic freedom - is an absolute good.
