The DOJ never had intention of prosecuting Hunter Biden. The whole point was to plea bargain two misdemeanors (gun charge and tax evasion), with abnormally wide latitude, in order to protect him from felony prosecution by a future (Republican) administration. The judge sniffed it out and rejected the generous plea. Nothing will happen to Hunter under this administration, but something could later.
