The scope of this catastrophe is growing.

Of course, they're blaming climate change.

Heard today they are expecting another 20 cadaver dogs to join the search.

They can't identify the dead, since most are now ashes.

Not being flippant, this fire was instant cremation.

They are blaming climate change. The local govt refused to release water to fight the fires.

"I want people to understand the reverence with which we're doing this," Pelletier said about the search effort.

Wonder if that would be the same flavor of 'reverence' applied when stonewalling the Las Vegas massacre investigation ?

Another whore who's sold his soul would be my guess . . .

There was speculation on Twitter that a significant number of dead were children who were home from school while their parents were working and couldn't evacuate and that the authorities are looking for a way to break this to the public.

It’s in the middle of the freaking Pacific and they didn’t have water to fight fire. Lahaina is right there by the beach.

They have to do that..notice NO ONE has said what the cause of the fire was other than there was a fire..and no high wind doesn’t make a fire happen, something had to ignite it, a power line falling, etc..but notice not a peep about that..because it was done on purpose and now that we are hearing how these rich big wigs are coming out to buy the land it makes perfect sense..if you can’t buy them out, burn them out

So they lit the fire and murdered over 1,000 people. They want us dead any way they can.

Kids were sent home to slaughter..no fire hoses, no evacuation notice, nothing..just hey kids go home, parents were at work so they were home alone to fend for themselves

The blame game conundrum: Going after the electric company power lines conflicts with the issue of fire hydrants operating via water pumps--which require electricity.

Makes more sense to blame invasive grasses.

I would blame the environmentalists who would not let them control the brush and grass under the power lines. Don’t know the exact reason the grass had not been cut or harvested though. Boils down to management of a fire hazard. Same problem California has with the forest fires.

This is so sad I cannot even find the words to describe it.

Fortunately, they'll going to drag us down in the mess.

Not sure what's going on. But this is Hawaii. They may be incompetent just like the Russians.

Odd that the FBI and NSA don’t know where these people are. You think they’d pitch in and share sureillance data with the local authorities.

Why were the kids sent home from school that day?

At least three lawsuits — including two seeking class-action status — have been filed against Hawaii’s primary energy provider over the deadly fires.

Didn’t take long.
