Russia continued to target Ukrainian grain infrastructure in attacks overnight Wednesday, a sign the country could be struggling to achieve a victory in its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
"By targeting Ukraine’s grain depots, Putin seeks to starve Ukrainians and create a food crisis, in order to compel [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelenskyy to capitulate and Western nations to withdraw support from Ukraine," Rebekah Koffler, a strategic military intelligence analyst, former senior official at the Defense Intelligence Agency, and author of "Putin’s Playbook," told Fox News Digital. "Putin’s goal at this stage is to turn Ukraine into a dysfunctional state, that is unable to govern itself and feed its people, thus raising the cost of rebuilding it for the U.S. and European countries."
Such a strategy is part of the plan, Koffler said, arguing that Russian President Vladimir Putin realizes he has been unable to "secure a clear military victory in Ukraine."

not the first time Russia used starvation as a weapon against Ukraine
Those experts…
“ By targeting Ukraine’s grain depots, Putin seeks to starve Ukrainians and create a food crisis…”
****************************************************
Starve Ukrainians? Sounds more like they are trying to stop Zelensky from selling Ukraine’s grain to OVERSEAS BUYERS for more dollars. If Zelensky can’t sell Ukrainian food overseas there will be MORE FOOD FOR UKRAINIANS….thanks to Russia.
They’re trying to drive up the price of grain.
Well, it is a war….and then there is the event when the US blew up the Nordstream pipeline….starving the EU of energy…..it is getting to be a complicated war at that.
“Experts” in today’s propaganda wars are about as useless as “fact checker”.
I do not know or care if there is any truth to this article or not. What I do know is this is not our war. It does not matter to me if Russia is or is not trying to starve the Ukes. This is a European issue.
👍👍
“thus raising the cost of rebuilding it for the U.S. and European countries.”
Here it comes. You think the war is expensive? You ain’t see nothing yet.
The Russians want people to starve or else give them what they want.
Ruzzia delenda est!
I thought Putin was dying of cancer and Ukraine was going to launch that Great Offensive, Charlie Brown?
<{> Some freepers will recall this expert made appearances on the circuit of talkmshows from time to time.
Compare the above "could be" to a March statement, " 'It's 'mathematically impossible' for Ukraine to win the war this spring," Mar 17, 2023 - FOX Business Source: https://www.foxbusiness.com/video/6322753551112
"Could be" -- rather like the authoritative "maybe."
The expert, Rebekah Koffler, is selling her book titled, "Putin's Playbook: Russia's Secret Plan to Defeat America"
As one may imagine, Putin's "secret war" iwas publihsed by Regnery Gateway (July 27, 2021.)
So this expert revealed that "secret plan" a little over two years ago. Cat's out of that bag, eh?
She has her own website to -- surprise -- sell her book, now two years out of date.

Russia recently gave China permission to transport grain from Ukraine via the Black Sea.
Whether it goes straight to Hong Kong or stops in Istanbul along the way is anyone’s guess.
“Attacks on Ukrainian grain depots shows Russia unable to secure ‘clear military victory,’ expert says”
More like: “Neocon says”
As it is, the dollar value for the grain was only about $6B per year, something like 2% of the total money being dumped into that country...so it wasn’t a money issue for Ukraine.
So what else can ‘empty’ ships be used for, as they enter Ukrainian ports before they load up with grain? I’ll leave that as an exercise to the Neocon Supporters.
“Russia recently gave China permission to transport grain from Ukraine via the Black Sea.”
Makes sense, as they can trust Chinese grain ships to carry, well, just grain...and nothing else.
NATO’s playbook is to wear Russia down, remove Putin and divide Russia into 42 states and take all their resources.
It’s a limited war, the parameters of which are fluid.
A visit to a page in her site is recommended; She does a presentation of her book via an embedded YouTube video which is "delightful." It gives some personal insight into the "expert."
