Their produce doesn’t keep as long so it’s best to use it within a day or two of purchase.

My aldi's is pretty good except for the produce section like you said. It costs too much for aldi's to maintain a robust produce section so it's not worth it.

I sometimes shop at Aldis to stock up on canned goods and staples like flour, sugar and other baking staples, and salt, spices, coffee, etc. You can’t beat the prices and the quality is very good. While I’m there I may purchase meat, cheese and snacks, eggs, and some frozen foods. I usually don’t bother with fresh produce, as it is usually sold in bulk packaging, and I as a single person won’t use it fast enough.
