Reminds me of the “SOUL BROTHER” signs that popped up in various riot torn areas of 1967-68.

Just a white or Asian dude owning a liquor store in the ghetto claiming to be black so they don’t burn his liquor store down. Mixed victory. They didn’t burn it down, but the liquor is long gone. He should have owned a book store. Then he would have had a win win with his sign.
Don Adams on Get Smart.
Maxwell Smart : Are you a psychologist, Dr. Stueben?
Stueben : I’m the president of the Psychologists’ Society for Mental Health and Adjustment Through Fulfillment.
Maxwell Smart : What kind of an organization is that?
Stueben : We’re a hate group.
Maxwell Smart : A hate group?
Stueben : Oh, in the sense that we cure hate and fear. We hate hate. Hate it.

Batman: Let’s hope Alfred put up the sign for it like he did for the Bat Cave and the Bathroom. We’ll get lost at home without them.
Signs....
Worth a try, though. In the Detroit Riots in July, 1967 dozens of black owned stores and bars put up “SOUL” on wooden window signs. Most worked.
Mount Dora, Florida? Elevation 167’.
This explains why people are confused. It’s the extreme elevation.
My sign would read, “We Hate Hate Crimes”.
>> Mount Dora [has] a lakeside municipal sea plane base ...
Close but no cigar - Tavares, the adjacent neighboring to the west of Mount Dora, has the seaplane base.
Correct, now that you mention it. I have been to both towns quite a few times over the years and have been to the seaplane base more than once and ought to have known that.
