DeSantis is about as good on the issues as the other would-be nominees, but so far he appears to be inept as a campaigner. His strategy seems to be to engage in routine Trump bashing and wait around until the regime puts him in prison. Then, presumably, he thinks all those Trump voters will come his way.
If he really thinks he can profit from such a tragic turn of events, then he really is delusional. They may get Trump after all, but the rest of that scenario ain’t gonna happen. To any Trump supporter, DeSantis will be seen as playing the role of the vulture candidate, and betrayer of the President. Nobody can win anything that way.
I agree...The others here are whistling passed the proverbial grave yard. There is no way Trump can win a general election. We need Trumpism, without Trump.
