Not a fan of Newt, but he knows history, and DC. I think he is on the money here. The question is will the public allow this authoritarian regime unfettered control? I fear the answer is the Republic will go out with a whimper.

I think so. Most likely, with will happen under President Gavin Newsom. He'll replace two conservative Justices at the end of his second term. That will be around 2036.
Our two conservative justices are in their 70s now.
