It could never happen anyway unless the military somehow splits and sides with the civilians and even then it still wouldn’t be equal. It’s not like 1861 where each side has just cannons and rifles. If a Civil war broke out today it would be guerilla fighters dealing with drones, drone strikes, Apache helicopters, forget it, any civilian rebellion would be wiped out in seconds.
If tyranny DID ever come to the USA though, you know who would be the #1 target of civilians? Democrat voters. I would NOT want to be one of those idiots who drive around with BIDEN-HARRIS Co-Exist bumper stickers. Those are the people we would see skinned alive hanging upside down in the village square. To go from living in freedom to living under tyranny under the biggest morons humanity every produced, there’s going to be one HELL of a lot of ticked off people.
Our military has proven to be comically bad at asymmetric warfare.
That said, in a domestic uprising, I think we’d finally see the politicians let the military fight without one hand tied behind their backs. No rules of engagement, fire at will.

When they promote cutting off ones wanker for some imagined sex in the wrong body, that is just as insane as walking down the Santa Monica Pier to meet some Mothership in the vapor trail of the Hal Bob Comet. What is the most insane is their love affair with Marxism, the most illogical ideology that has ever been created in history.
