BREAKING: Georgia Grand Jury Indicts Trump, Giuliani, Meadows, and More

Following an at times confounding series of events on Monday, a grand jury in Fulton County voted to indict former President Donald Trump on more than one dozen counts for his actions in the aftermath of the 2020 election.

Just before 9:00 p.m. ET, the grand jury's decision was returned to Judge Robert McBurney and then handed off to the clerk to be docketed before being unsealed and made public shortly before 11:00 pm.

In all, the grand jury handed up a 98-page indictment against Trump as well as a handful of his allies including Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, Kenneth Chesebro, Sidney Powell, and Jenna Ellis on an array of charges related to their conduct in the wake of the 2020 presidential election.

For Trump specifically, the grand jury voted to indict the former president on 13 counts:

Conspiracy to Commit Impersonating a Public Officer

In 2019 my 95 year old father said we are headed for another Civil War. After listening to this wench from Georgia speak tonight I think we’re at the tipping point. God save America because the Democrats are trying to destroy it.

My father, who will be 86 soon, said the same thing. He's been saying that for the last 50 years when the seeds of what we see today have been just sown back in the late 1960's. I even said in 1983 when I was 17 and started my junior ear in high school, after KAL-007 was shot down by the USSR, I said, "what if the US became the USSR and the USSR became the US?" I then added, "what if WE ever became the Evil Empire?" Well, economically in some ways, Russia is freer than we are but they have a long ways to go in that case but seeing what is going on, we are becoming like the USSR, and worse, is many ways and this is one of them.

I think soon, these guys will overplay their hand and it will be Katy Bar the Door.

Absolutely. The Q crowd here used to get so mad at me whenever I would point out that the very first Q posts were falsely claiming that Hillary was going to be arrested the next day. Then, that she had been arrested and was wearing ankle cuffs. That’s the only reason the whole thing ever got any attention in the first place.

The sad (or scary part) is, these people still exist in large numbers all over the country, and still believe in Q, even if they’ve mostly gone quiet on the name. Many of the others, still have an undying belief that Trump is a near supreme being, whether there is a Q or not. They are fiercely protective and devoted to the man, no matter the circumstance. That kind of blind and obsessive devotion can be dangerous in times like these, so the sooner we can break them out of their Trump spell, not just their Q spell, the better. Trump is not all bad, but he’s not perfect, either.

Since people nowadays in FR love conspiracy theories, let me give them one.

The whole ‘trust the plan’ trope was a Democrat party ruse. To make people more relaxed as they knew there was a ‘plan.’

Think about all the things people here on FR were saying:
- That the inauguration would never happen (it did).
- That Pelosi and Biden and Kamala would be in Guantanamo (they’re not).
- That the National Guard would come out to make things right (they didn’t).
- That Trump was still President, with one particularly vocal FR lady even claiming he still controlled the ‘nuclear codes’ (he is not, and he does not).
- That the courts would overrule the Biden presidential victory - we just needed to wait. And wait. And wait. (January 20, 2021 came and went, and Biden became #46).

I had a much longer list Q1 2021, which clearly showed the whole ‘trust the plan’ mumbojumbo was nonsense. Unfortunately, there were too many FReepers at the time (including, maybe, the owners of the site) who really wanted to believe.

Humans wanting to believe something really bad are difficult to convince of the truth, even when the truth is crystal clear.

So, EEE, you’re wasting your time trying to drum sense into people. Believers have to believe, because if you take that away you take away their core.

So, let me throw another theory …just for them. Trump is still President, it is actually 1985, and if you click your heels three times you may just find yourself in Oz.
