Niger’s military says it will prosecute deposed President Mohamed Bazoum for treason, hours after a group of senior Islamic scholars said the country’s coup leaders are open to diplomacy to resolve their standoff with West Africa’s regional bloc.

In a statement read out on national television late on Sunday, a spokesman for Niger’s military laid out the charges against Bazoum as “high treason and undermining the internal and external security” of the country.

was just wondering if this could happen in a country much closer to home that has a president guilty of much the same things...and then I woke up.

Looks like Niger’s new leadership is taking their “leadership” training from Washington.

This is what banana republics do . . . Prosecute (and usually execute) former presidents after a kangaroo court show trial. Does this remind anybody of anything going on in a a formerly first world country?

Third world justice seems to be one of the recent imports to the US, courtesy of our wonderful boiling pot of immigration (including a federal judge presiding over one very high profile case).

Slavery brought Africans to the US.
19th Amendment let women vote.
1965 Immigration Act brought more low IQ non whites here.

Three strikes and you’re out.
Demographics is destiny.

Maybe the US and France should get out of Niger.

I have no doubt that Trump will be assassinated if there is no other way to stop him. Heck, something as simple as reenacting the Oswald operation would work perfectly in today’s climate. Any old patsy would do.

So the coup leaders are charging the deposed president with treason, for allowing the coup?

It’s a variation of the DC coup leaders charging the deposed president for trying to stop the coup. F’n banana republics, both.
