Brazile says GOP may never be ‘mainstream’ again

Former Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairwoman Donna Brazile said on Sunday that the GOP might not be a “mainstream” party again.

Brazile made the remark during an appearance on ABC’s “This Week, when co-anchor Jonathan Karl asked the panel for the program’s “Powerhouse Roundtable” about former President Trump’s impact at the Iowa State Fair this weekend.

“Yes. You know, Donald Trump took on the Republican establishment in 2016. And I don’t think the establishment – and maybe you know better since you understand the Republican establishment, they haven’t been able to really get their sea legs back,” Brazile told Karl. “I don’t know if the Republican Party will ever be a, quote/unquote, a mainstream party again like it was before, when you understood conservatism, conservative values.”

Brazile, who is now an ABC News contributor, also said that the former president is running his reelection campaign “on a platform of retribution,” also noting Trump’s ongoing legal issues.

“But now you have an indicted defendant out on bail who is leading the party, who is basically running on a platform of retribution, and that is going to define not just the presidential race, but I think all of the down ballot races as well,” Brazile added.

This comes as Trump was the main star attraction at the Iowa State fair, though the GOP frontrunner is facing a slew of legal battles and federal investigations against him.

What's fascinating is that the Democrat Party is a minority party - probably 35 to 40 percent at best.

It's the DNC ballot factories that put them over the top.

Donna Brazile is the Queen of Democrat Propaganda, with all rights and privileges thereof. This includes feeding questions to Hillary prior to the 2016 debate, when Brazile was Vice Chair of the DNC.

It's likely been going on for a lot longer than we think. 2020 is when it came to light. For example I never understood how Obama was able to win reelection in 2012.

It’s possible with potential convictions on Trump...that a dozen to two-dozen states will try to prevent him being on the primary ballot in early 2024...giving DeSantis some odd ability to ‘win’, and show up at the Convention with just enough delegates to win.

But I’d also say this invalidation process could also be used against RFK in running again Biden....getting him off the ballot.

So if you went down this path, it’s possible that you have Biden, RFK (independent run), DeSantis, and Trump (independent run). In this scenario, no one would reach 270 Electoral votes, and the top three Electoral vote getters would go to the House in January 2025....for a state-by-state delegate vote.

It’s possible that the Republican Party is permanently in some pit over this method of selection situation, and Trump still loses.

Because a one-party state somehow seems so much more honest a representation of where we are at this point...

For example I never understood how Obama was able to win reelection in 2012.

ZerObama lost Missouri in 2008 by 4,000 "votes".

All you have to figure out is where the 258,644 Democrat Odiousbama "voters" in Missouri disappeared to in 2012.

Fake ballots are about $40 to $50 a pop.

It is unseemly for any small d democratic politician to say a large fraction of the political electorate is “out of the mainstream.”

In Germany, last century, Hitler first outlawed the Communists, then the Democratic Socialists, and then the Center Party. In the process, he accumulated dictatorial power.

In Germany, today, the President - a Democratic Socialist - suggests outlawing the Alternative Party. How soon we forget.

In Russia, Putin has locked-up his #1 rival. In Venezuela and Nicaragua, two of his apprentices have done likewise.

In this country, Democrats are using the law to go after Trump having failed, twice, to remove him from office.

In Iran, a self-perpetuating council “approves” candidates for the ballot.

Merely having elections does not make a country democratic. These must be free and fair. All you have to do in order to see the reality of democracy in the various countries of the world is look to ratings of Freedom House, including the rating of the U.S. which has slipped badly in recent years.

Donna Brazile will forever be remembered as the crooked cupid stunt that helped Shillary Clintoon cheat in the 2016 election. That was fun to watch though! All of Shillary’s fumbles too. From the chronic coughing to the spazzing out on camera to the passing out in public to PDJT thrashing her in debates. Ah, yesss...the Anthony Weiner laptop and the look on her face when she got the news. 2016 Election night. Shillary got her ass handed to her by an outsider. Those were good times.

Hey, Donna, if you define “mainstream” as what the Demoncrat party stands for you’re right on the money, but sadly, most of the GOPeahens in DC are “mainstream and squishy…”

Coming from a party that hasn’t run a mainstream non-leftist in 100 years (1924) for President, that’s a hoot.
