It seemed everything that could have gone wrong for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Saturday did.
The governor has spent the past two days coddling and cozying up to every Iowa voter and state legislator possible. The return on investment? Being drowned out by his biggest adversaries: progressives and Trump loyalists.
On Saturday afternoon, while DeSantis joined Reynolds and Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst at a grill to flip pork chops, Trump supporters surrounded the venue and chanted, “We love Trump!” Moments later, Trump’s plane flew overhead, seeming to taunt DeSantis as fairgoers craned to get a look.
Trump’s visit to the state fair lasted about an hour — long enough to arrive to the overflowing Steer N’ Stein bar,... the crowd outside of the bar, craning for a glimpse of Trump as he entered or exited, was at least three times the size of the crowd at DeSantis’ “fair-side chat” with Gov. Reynolds
Meanwhile, DeSantis walked through the fair for the better part of Saturday, surrounded by about a dozen men carrying DeSantis signs, who identified themselves as employees of DeSantis’ political action committee, Never Back Down.
Even the crowd at DeSantis’ morning event, protesters aside, was not entirely convinced by the governor.
The fact that a significant portion of DeSantis’ audience couldn’t hear his speech before the audio cut didn’t help, either. Reynolds hadn’t even asked the first question when a group of six protesters began blowing whistles and ringing cowbells, causing Reynolds to stop the event and ask all attendees to be “Iowa nice.”

So far in California, there have been 818656 NICS firearm checks, of which 275400 were permits, so about 543256 NICS checks for firearm sales.

But back to the point, what EO did Trump sign, that banned specific models and calibers of firearms?
Ask the guy who built a bumpstock-equipped AR-15 from the receiver up during the Obama Administration and then had to pay out of pocket to legally comply with Trump's directive to the BATF.

The GOP was actively involved in the theft of 2020... and now you are listening and repeating the lines from the same folks who aided and abetted the theft of the election by repeating their fear - mongering. If Trump with the broadest based support of any GOP candidate running, and demonstrably broader than anyone in decades, can’t win, then NO GOP Candidate can win, period.
There is not a single GOP candidate running who will do as well as Trump in a General election.. Not a single one of them.. because like it or not, Trump actually motivates not only the GOP base, but brings in voters no GOPe/RINO/Globalist is ever going to get to show up and vote for them, period.
That’s the reality... now it me be that Trump can’t win... but deluding yourself that someone else can if Trump can’t, is flat out self delusion.
You think the 60-70% of the GOP primary voters are going to just support the next guy? Perhaps, but do you think the dis enfranchised voters that showed up for Trump are going to show up for someone else on election day? Or the moderate Dems, or the Independents in the same numbers? NOT A CHANCE IN HELL.
The “electability” argument is just the fear mongering argument the establishment goes to every time to keep folks on the farm, for they would rather LOSE an election, than lose control.... and that’s the basis every time that argument is trotted out.
