Egypt is resisting calls from the Biden administration to arm Ukraine for its imminent counteroffensive, just months after Cairo dropped plans to help Moscow.
The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that although Egypt has agreed not to assist the Kremlin's invasion, its government is hesitant to help the Western effort to refill Ukraine's dwindling ammunition supplies.
Top-ranked members of the Pentagon reportedly asked Egypt in March to supply Ukraine with artillery shells, antitank missiles, air-defense systems, and small arms — a request they have still been pushing.

What balls it takes to ask these countries to continue supplying the war machine.
Our top military men are scouring the world for weapons they can buy, steal or cajole out of other countries that;
A) might think having their old stockpile is a handy idea in this world.
B) might not want to anger the BRICs for something they don’t really care about. IE..Does Egypt really feel connected to Ukraine or hate Russia like a neocon?
C) Doesn’t really have that much respect left for DC and doesn’t really like them very much.
... because these same top-ranked members of the Pentagon have 1) the largest war budget in the world (at more than the next six nations down a list), and yet with all that, cannot supply some East European country with enough war materiel because WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH OURSELVES.
