PRETORIA, August 11. /TASS/. African Union Commission Chairman Moussa Faki Mahamat has supported the decision of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to launch a military operation in Niger, according to the statement published on the website of the African Union.
Mahamat expressed concern about the situation in Niger and called for the "immediate release" of President Mohamed Bazoum, his family and members of the government, saying that the conditions of their detention "poor."

Associated Press agency reported the same day that leaders of the military in Niger had allegedly told acting US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland that they intended to kill the country’s ousted president, Mohamed Bazoum, should neighboring states launch a military intervention in an attempt to reinstate him.
Nuland again. Now that evil fatso is launching a giant war in central Africa. God only know the misery she’s unleashing there. And get ready for a giant wave of refugees.

We have no more business in Niger than we do in Ukraine. Niger is an African and/or French problem, not ours. Ukraine is a European problem, not ours. Our problem is the southern border and other major internal issues, let’s fix those.

The French foreign legion is a professional Army Corps of the French Army with Infantry, Cavalry, Engineer units, and Airborne troops, Wagner can fight as mercenaries and warm bodies from prisons, but the Legion is a highly motivated force of volunteers who are vetted, hand-picked, and trained as some of the world’s top professional soldiers.
Out of 100 Legion applicants, only about 10-15 are actually given the chance to make it.
