So Romney and some other person will both go out and get signatures to appear on the ballot with the person the Party chose. 30% will vote for the Party candidate in the primary. 30% will vote for the other signature-gathering candidate. 40% will vote for Romney. So Romney will get in with 60% of the state hating his guts."

Unless "other signature-gathering candidate" is Evan McNothing, who would pull harder from Romney's support. McMuffin ran Mike Lee to just 11%, and nothing prevents McLooney from running GOP vs Romney. He even acquired a spiffy new widow wife, finally (lol), for his run against Lee.

Any day Mitt Romney gets defeated, it is a win for both the Republican party (so he can’t claim to be a member of them) and the United States (because he would be out of politics!!

I'll admit I did vote McCain, back when I was young and naive. But I at least was able to not vote for Romney!
