I live in Florida. It boggles my mind that such a majority of the local population believe EVERYTHING the government tells them, MSM tells them or that they see online- hook line and sinker- and zero questions asked. They actually believe it’s never been 96 degrees for an hour or 2 a day in Florida in August EVER before. We ARE doomed- not because of BS climate change- but because people are FRIGGIN STUPID with no critical thinking skills. And if they had critical thinking skills when it’s summer and typically warm, maybe it would occur to them to a) seek shade and b) consider for one moment when they can’t find shade and are standing on hot concrete that knocking down all the trees and greenery and paving over with buildings and concrete EVERYWHERE may not help? But when climate BS is discussed neither reality nor practicality is even considered
And right on cue, the fires in Lahaina.
With all the fear porn out there about the weather I have to say that THIS YEAR has been one of the coolest and wettest I can ever remember! (except for rains in 1973 and 1974) And I can remember dry years clear back to 1952!
I returned to an area of NE New Mexico where we starved out in 1952. It was so green (2013, 2015) I did not recognize the area!

Forget “Practically speaking.” He will declare such an “Emergency” officially as soon as the public is softened up by reports like this. I still say it will come on the heels of the latest rash of excited fear porn emanating from the November COP climate orgy. It will involve escalating restrictions based on the precedent of the covid shutdown.
Of course this will require suspending elections and martial law.
