I think most people are in the middle, where President Trump and I am.
They are. Poll after poll has shown that a majority of Americans support legalized abortion in the first trimester.
For too long, conservatives dismissed these polls as fake news, propaganda, and now they're seeing, in the only poll that matters, --the poll taken in the voting booth, that these polls were indeed correct.
Best to leave Abortion up to the voters. If we lose elections there will be abortion clinics on every corner. It’s hard to take away rights once they have been granted.
In a political organization I belong to, when there is a controversial state or local issue, we poll our our membership because it is the club’s position and in its by-laws to not officially endorse in primaries or take a position in local issues. However we publish the polls of our membership. This may sound spineless but this has served the organization well for 50 years.
