In the 1870s they says 50% of all Californians would be Chinese by 1901. Numbers are just estimates. It MIGHT happen and then again , it might not. Many factors may well come into play. Lots of Europeans may well move in, or a pill invented that will turn people white? Or American will fall and not be such a good place to live.
