Trump referred to Pence with the newly-minted “Liddle” moniker in multiple Truth Social posts, with the first coming Saturday after Pence was critical of Trump following his latest indictment in connection to the January 6 Capitol riot:
WOW, it’s finally happened! Liddle’ Mike Pence, a man who was about to be ousted as Governor Indiana until I came along and made him V.P., has gone to the Dark Side. I never told a newly emboldened (not based on his 2% poll numbers!) Pence to put me above the Constitution, or that Mike was “too honest.” He’s delusional, and now he wants to show he’s a tough guy. I once read a major magazine article on Mike. It said he was not a very good person. I was surprised, but the article was right. Sad!

**I don’t think the nickname was on the basis of stature. I think it was a summation of the worth of the man.**
In that view I would agree. But Trump should make that part of his description, to clarify why Mike is ‘liddle’, and not give any negative vibes whatsoever to the undecided voters.
On the other hand your profile page is lots of fun to read.
Has been? Please let the base of the party know so that they stop supporting him.
Trump seems to like that pseudo-word. He’s called Marco Rubio and Adam Schiff liddle, too.
Trump chose Pence twice to be his running mate.
Up next, Trump blaming Chris Christie for choosing Pence twice.
The meatball is going nowhere nationally. Now go play Jack’s on the 395
It’s called mocking.
I have to hand it to trump. His priorities are in the right place.
We probably shouldn’t pick a president whose was clueless and had to be directed on who to choose. Pretty embarrassing.
Lol. Funny. He picked the niece of the guy who voted to kick his butt out of office.
Of course it is. It turns many people off.
Pence may be a little boy, but he was Trump’s little boy. The decent and classy thing to do would have been to own up to it.
Trump needs to nix the sophomoric memes to his party opponents, especially peeps like Pence who are not a threat to his re-nomination. Conservative suburban biological females are turned off by this stuff. My wife is one of them.
I must admit that I get a giggle outta some of the nick names he tags people with and I’m “all in” for his winning the oval office for the third time but nick naming is sophomoric and should be beneath the dignity of the office he seeks.
However, he has very few flaws, comparatively speaking. I can live with that one.
Come on, Reno. Trump’s disloyalty? It was Pence who started bad-mouthing Trump, saying he’s unfit to serve as President. Trump has actually gone pretty easy on him up until Pence’s most recent barrage of attacks on Trump.
The following is an history lesson fro you and others who may not know the following......
So you think that name calling and worse are something "new"?
Well Thomas Jefferson was one of THE worst of the worst, vilest proponents of it and it didn't stop with him. He went after President Washington, during his second term and had a long, very heated and nasty set to with John Adams; calling Adams an HERMAPHRODITE!
And before you think that this stuff didn't spread because there was no internet....THINK AGAIN!
Back then there were broadsheets ( something akin to flyers ) that got tacked up on lamp posts, building, handed around. Jefferson and the men he paid/promised jobs to wrote nasty bits in letters to the editors, articles, and such that were distributed to every newspaper in our new nation.
Jefferson signed his name to some, but also used pseudonyms and sometimes no name at all. This was also done by his paid henchmen. And when his most active and ardent follower/henchman didn't get what he was promised, he spread the whole FALSE thing about old Tom having sexual relations his dead wife's mulatto 1/2 sister, Sally Hemmings.
The whole "whispering campaign" was begun the and has continued throughout our history!
When Andy Jackson ran for president, the Whigs ( GOP now ) taunted him and his wife with claims of bigamy, that she was "trash who smoked a pipe" ( also implying that she was uneducated, a whore, and and a drunken adulteress.
When Ike was running for president, for reelection, the Dems ( the DNC actually, in campaign literature! ) began a whispering campaign stating that Mamie was a "CLOSET DRUNK"!
These are but a few paltry examples of the "blood game" of politics, which has NEVER been 1) civil 2) respectful nor 3) in any way "polite"!
Those who won’t support Trump because of his “childish” insults, are far fewer in number than those who support Trump because of them. And the reasons are multifold - the most important being that he attacks and insults all the right people.
Another reason is that they admire the lack of hypocrisy with Trump. Trump says what he means and how he feels. Other politicians will stab you in the back and smile to your face.
Those
I love the way that these threads expose the FR NeverTump/AlwaysChump people.
A blood sport indeed.
I prefer the moniker Judas Pence
