Making hostage to abortion politics is stupid. (And I'm very Pro-Life)
This article makes it seem as if it was a political decision to begin with (on Trump’s part).
My understanding is that there is a list of requirements for the Space Command HQ and Huntsville checked all of the boxes so was awarded the location for Space Command. In the meantime, Colorado kept upgrading their facilities (and by some accounts I’ve heard, there’s speculation as to whether the funding sources were appropriate).
The original choice to put it in Huntsville was based on the accommodations that were already there and everyone had agreed on it.
No... it didn't. This was a completely, overtly political decision. In fact, Colorado's site wasn't even the second-best choice... by all accounts it was more like 5th best. This was every bit about punishing Alabama and spurning Trump, and nothing about selecting the best site for the DoD.
Childish and political.
You can’t find a house in Colorado Springs and prices are obscene.
