U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan on Monday dismissed Trump's argument, ruling Carroll's statement on the cable network was substantially true and that “[t]here would have been no different effect on the mind of an average listener.” Okay, who's going to take one for the team and sign an affidavit saying they heard Carroll's statement and it had an effect on them?

Some of this is Trump’s own fault. He declined to testify in the original case and thus basically handed Carroll a court victory upon which this decision is based.
True or not, the legal record now states that at least civilly, he sexually abused her.
