President Trump never advocated for the prosecution of Hillary - that was just the chants of his Bold Supporters.
Once he had the reins of power it was clear he had to much grace to prosecute his political opponent, which would have been an unprecedented breach, no matter how much she deserved it.

In 2018 he requested that both Hillary and Comey have special counsels. McGann rebuffed his efforts.
