FACT: People in Washington know the Ukrainians are finished, they know they can't replace the losses.
The question now is what comes next and nobody wants to accept publicly the fact that the Russians are in a strategically powerful and dominant position.

It’s all been a monumental con job. We have been had.
“They have been grounded to bits. There's no question about that, despite what we report on our mainstream media.”
Colonel MacGregor, March 17,2022
I was thinking the same. Thanks for challenging the absurdity of that individual’s post.
Russia can end the war and go home anytime they want. Ukraine on the other hand is fighting for the independence Russia agreed to thirty years ago.
You must read closer to my words,
The follow on conflicts were a waste
and failure due to politics.
Regarding Vietnam, Korea, etc ... Lately I’ve been telling people that they’re trying to regain what they once had, not to create anything new. They once had full control of the media and messaging, and they sent 53k young Americans to die in Vietnam.
Just keep our money out of it.
A ton!
$80/bbl climate oil paid for his victory.
Absent that he can’t threaten a gnat.
It comes down to money. Period. The end.
Imagine thinking all this emotive stuff has jack to do with shine.
Could’ve followed the Ruble as mentioned on day one and batted 1.000.
Going on two years of war + sanctions and it is back to even after being higher for much of the invasion. That’s what winning looks like and it is all thanks to $80/bbl climate oil.
We tried to tell the neoCONs that escalating the war would just lead to needless deaths, but they didn’t care.
Not to put too fine a point to it but if France and England had supported the Confederacy like the US does the Ukraine, the United States would be 13 states less than today.
But I believe you’re right about the Ukraine, she’s bled white of her manpower and no amount of armaments will replace that.
I read somewhere today - in a source which, like you, I won't bother to cite - that at least 100,000 Russians have DIED in this insane war of invasion and conquest which the Russians started.
Regards,
wherever Burisma headquarters is, I hope that Russia is in control of that territory now.
Me too!
That’s horrible and heartbreaking if true. And there are people here on FR who want this to go on indefinitely. Shameful.
Pc madness
Death March madness
I guess Jo Jo will be importing them into America to use as RAT voters.
This is a war that will be discussed for decades.
The Russians entered with a force that was primarily made-up of ‘raw’ recruits who had a few weeks of boot-camp and marginal combat training.
The ‘bump-up’? Wagner mercenaries....who demanded a pay-scale situation.
Lost equipment? Somehow, the Ukrainians got this idea to attack advancing tanks with anti-tank missiles, then target the fuel tankers, and with inexperienced tank crews...Ukraine got an edge.
The Russian lost equipment? If you look at video lately....you don’t see much hardware from the past 30 years. I see tanks mostly from the 1960s/1970s (probably dragged out of depot).
Russians who left? It’s a debatable thing but one can assume around a quarter-million left Russia (mostly men) and probably won’t be coming back. It wouldn’t matter if they were old guys or alcoholic marginal workers, but it appears to be a lot of the youthful 20-something guys with some skillcraft.
The war will continue until Putin dies, then some designed ‘end’ will occur. No peace-treaty....just an end.
Other than WW@ we have not won any major conflict other than Kuwait..and that was easy. Aint no enemy the size of Russia going to let us build up en mass like we did there.
As the above, the CIA/military industrialists have managed to get us into one struggle after another.
Since the Spanish American war we have spent in excess of 30 trillion, in todays dollars, in non stop conflicts.
To top it all off, since 2020, the war on our southern border has a death count as much if not more than the Ukie/Russo war. That takes into account the deaths from fentanyl in this country as well as all the murders committed by the drug cartels at/near the border as well as in this country.
yep
