There is physical being of course, but what the public thinks it knows about Obama is a constructed narrative. Until recent times and maybe still, homosexuals commonly had fake public personas to mask their real lives. Obama is unusual is his boldness, to aspire to the Presidency while hiding so much. What is truly astoundung is that he started on this project so early.
What young man keeps journals for future use, keeps copies of his letters in the journals, even writes many letters in the first place, etc. Obama was “curating” (ugh) his archive as he went along — yet he is so secretive about it since it contradicts the public version. It’s obvious that he learned about post-modern theory and applied himself to crafting non-genuine narrative as a sort of project, using his ersatz biographies to project an alternative “truth”.
When and whence began his grand ambitions? Either Barack Obama was a visionary genious of self-promotion, going for the gold ring with iron persistance, or someone/something guided him. It is from that moment that he started the narrative project, which required editing his own past. He seems too lazy for all that. Product of the IC? Whose IC?
