Nah. I think Kamala Harris will look better at this point. She’s too obvious so there will be more resistance to her policies. Therefore she’ll do less damage.
Hope——honestly-——you are right. These are dark times.
One problem will be her lack of sophistication when dealing with political adversaries.
In one book I read an Air Force officer spoke with President Jimmy Carter about some Iran strategies as part of a group. Carter said “I was dismayed to learn that the Iranians I had negotiated with had lied to me all along and were not actually in favor of making peace with the United States. They were against us.”
The officer said “I felt a shock go through me that the man who said that was President.”
