My wife got an $1800 bill for an electrocardiogram from Prisma. That seems way high and I have BCBS.
We are going to try to get an itemized bill. MyChart doesn’t have it.
A friend of a friend who had some surgery got double billed by the anesthesiologist and had to contest it.
When my wife was going through chemo I was using Epic’s My Chart to manage the insurance and keep up with the payments.
Our hospital had an obscure link on one of the pages where I could see every item that was scanned into the system. As anyone who has been in a hospital lately will know, they scan everything into the system for controls, inventory, and billing.
