The fuel pricing doesn’t make sence. How can it cost 50% more to charge publically on some cars and 10% more on the others. The price of electricty will be the same no matter what car you are charging. This is a bogus article.


No but it does require thinking. NOt all things are simple.

There is variation in the vehicles, charging stations, charging times. etc.

Just like an average, 50% are above and 50% below with a wide variation. The cost of an ev or gas car is personal. It depends on a lot of things. My most expensive vehicle in cost per mile used to be my motorcycle.

I’m retired & drive very little. Sometimes only 4 miles per week round trip for groceries. So my tank full of gas lasts me a long time.

How much charge will the average EV battery lose in one week sitting in my enclosed garage?

This time of year, the garage gets quite warm, as it is not air-conditioned. And quite cold in the winter.
