Former President Donald Trump has been arraigned on four felony counts alleging he conspired to spread claims of 2020 election fraud that he knew to be untrue to stop certification of the vote.
Federal prosecutors bringing the case, however, will have to contend with at least five high-profile cases of confirmed irregularities or illegalities from the 2020 contest ranging from Iranian interference to unlawful voting procedures.
Trump was indicted by a grand jury led by Special Counsel Jack Smith on Tuesday and arraigned Thursday in a federal courtroom on four charges, including Conspiracy to Defraud the United States; Conspiracy to Obstruct an Official Proceeding; Obstruction of and Attempt to Obstruct an Official Proceeding; and Conspiracy Against Rights.
The indictment alleges that “The purpose of the conspiracy was to overturn the legitimate results of the 2020 presidential election by using knowingly false claims of election fraud to obstruct the federal government function by which those results are collected, counted, and certified.

I agree, it’s examples just like that which have led me to believe there was widespread fraud. But was it enough to have changed the results, or to have even come close? Apparently, even Trump’s own campaign managers told him they didn’t think so. He also supposedly hired 2 external firms investigate it who told him there wasn’t much provable fraud, certainly not enough to affect the results. So hopefully there’s been more found since then, but this article is pretty light. Because if it’s determined by the judges and juries that there was more evidence that it was NOT actually “fraudulently stolen” and he admitted privately he knew that, he may have an issue on that obstructing a proceeding charge.
The “fraud” that tipped the scales in 2020 was legal mail in ballots and ballot harvesting. Dems wanted to win more than the GOP. A Brandon-Trump rematch would be absolutely no different and the outcome the same.
“Not true. There was another VALID Constitutional remedy. The election could have been deemed invalid, and it’s kicked back to the State Legislatures to provide delegates for elections.”
I agree, you wouldn’t need to redo the election from scratch, unless a particular state’s legislature deemed it necessary.
My point was that anyone suggesting any remedy at all was going to be demonized for it. If you questioned the election you were at risk of being cancelled, branded a domestic terrorist, or charged as an insurrectionist and sent to rot in jail - or in the case of Ashley Babbit - you could even be executed.
Mail in ballots and ballot "harvesting."
The high tech part of it wasn't as big of a factor as the old fashion ballot stuffing.
Criminalizing the knowing dissemination of falsehoods to affect the outcome of the election? That’s the gist of the case.
Which brings us to the Steele dossier, Russiagate, and the rest of the anti-Trump disinformation campaign. Merrick Garland’s precedent should be explored ....
I think that’s very possible and one of the main reasons why Trump and his team should be working very hard to provide as much concrete proof of fraud as they can, to not only help him win this court case, but to prove to the doubters he actually was a victim all along.
Has not been fought at all in any of their lawsuits. The defendants didn't even bother to put up a fight.
Not the same thing as "won."
Remember the Awan Bros IT scandal?
I've postulated from the outset that it was NOT a foreign op, but a DS op.
Crunch that thought and get back to me.
Fair enough. So, Dominion has not lost a single lawsuit yet, how’s that?
I’m furious FOX didn’t fight them in the least, but my confidence in Lindell, without any help from anyone else, isn’t high. You?
I don't think he will win either, but I think the primary problem is that courts are crap and judges are liars/idiots.
What I have seen of Lindell's evidence doesn't look compelling. I think it is a case of wanting to believe something, and then believing that files which you've got, but which you cannot decipher, mean what you want them to mean.
I hope I am wrong, but Lindell behaved very foolishly in this situation. He should have nailed down his claims very firmly before making them public.
But who knows. If the Judge isn't an incompetent or playing for the other side, (which is a good possibility), if Lindell can produce all the evidence we've seen about Dominion voting systems, then he might just win.
True. I have the screenshot. It’s despicable.
That's true, but without at least some, actual, hard evidence on your behalf, it's not going to matter who the judge is.

I think that is exactly what happened with people believing the claims that Dominion COULD easily be hacked, which is obviously true, that it automatically meant that they WERE hacked, and flipped the election. Those two things are not the same.

I hope that they do finally have some proof too, to not only vindicate Trump, but to vindicate us all who have been pushing these claims. And more importantly, to get rid of the equipment permanently. But if they still don't have anything concrete, then he will almost certainly lose his legal case, and Dominion will go on, stronger than ever. I'll be rooting for him, but I'm also starting to think that this current crop of "fighters" is long on talk, and short on results.
A woman conservative I know has been slapped with felony charges for messing with a voting machine.
I've seen too many cases where it didn't matter what evidence you had, they were not going to look at it.

I still see the bigger problem as incompetent/corrupt/manipulated courts.
Modern courts are full of know-it-all imbeciles.
Blinken played a key role in the Hunter-laptop-Russian-disinformation letter. But that fraud/election interference is legal.
Wow, that’s horrible. I’d like to know what happened to that company in Dallas Texas that had several forensic professionals on staff, who seemed to know more about the weaknesses in the machines than anyone, at that time. I’d have to go back and look, but they knew all the weaknesses, inside and out. They never alleged actual fraud, just explained in great explicit detail how it could be done. Wonder what they’ve been up to the last couple of years.
The lower courts are not in our favor right now, overall, that is true. But you still need actual evidence in your favor to even make your case for the record, or appeal.
Daire came to our picnics. I am sickened by this.
And for that reason, (plus the fact that dems used the COVID scare to destroy evidence of cheating) it is going to be difficult to convince the public of actual 2020 election skullduggery.
Thanks. So was this the precinct where they supposedly had all the proof that the vote totals in the machines, didn’t match the paper ballots that were turned in, or something similar? I remember hanging on that is the definitive proof that was going to break it all open. Then, like seemingly always, when I hung on waiting for actual evidence of fraud, it never materialized.
I’m sorry about your friend, but is that the same case, and did they ever actually get the evidence? Reading this article, which may have been written by horrible people, but they are claiming she was the fraud. Do you have anything even from a blog putting her case and evidence forward? Is she or anyone else still pursuing it? Thanks again.
