Good statement as this latest charge is ridiculous, a thought crime for questioning the election results. Well, if the court will allow, maybe he can now litigate the 2020 election.

After the fallout from J6, I don’t expect any action that isn’t internet based.
I think the judges and Smith will do what they need to do to reign in the trial to get conviction without regard to reversal on appeal. The appeal won’t matter, the damage will be done.

Trump could have just said, in November 2020, “well, maybe they stole the election, but I don’t care”. He could have said “I’ll just go back to living my luxurious lifestyle in comfort, and spend time with my family and friends and I’ll still be perfectly happy”. He could have said “the problems of the American people are their problems, not mine”.
But he didn’t. And that’s what they are making him pay for now.
