Pencecould waltzed into the White House if he had fulfilled his duty to the Constitution in January 2021.
He has destroyed his political future.

The Jan. 6 indictment case will very much hinge on Mike Pence’s testimony if he is subpoenaed.
It will be a huge plus to Jack Smith’s prosecution if Pence tells them under oath that Trump REALLY knew that he lost the 2020 elections yet, told Mike Pence to interfere to stop the confirmation process.
As it stands now, Jack Smith cannot prove that Trump knew that he lost. That would entail him being able to read into Trump’s mind. Only God can know that.
All indications thus far shows that Trump SINCERELY believed that he was cheated out of victory. There is no law against trying to stop a rigged process through the proper constitutional channels that Mike Pence himself is part of by virtue of his position.

I sort of remember Pence and DeJeb jumping in after that report came out confirming that Trump was a clear and present danger to DeJeb and Pence’s swamp in 2015 when he announced his run..
That would be rather poor timing considering Deplorables have had their candidate since 2015 when he announced and then was spied on..
Pence will be forced to testify under oath. First the defense must be given access to those notes. They will examine the handwriting or the device on which they were recorded. Just when were they written? Did Pence write them himself or were they dictated to someone ? If so who? Were they edited? If Trump’s lawyers are any good Pence will look like a fool or commit outright perjury. The cross examination will destroy the government’s flimsy case. Pence is slime. However he underscores just how bad Trump is at judging people and selecting associates.
This guy hoodwinked a lot of people. He turned out to be like a smooth reserved Benny Hinn, preachy and deceptive. One big con job.

And here’s my concern — THAT BELIEF OF YOURS, EVEN WHEN STATED OPENLY, RIGHT OR WRONG, IS PROTECTED SPEECH UNDER THE FIRST AMENDMENT.
What’s happening today with what Jack Smith is doing in prosecuting Trump for openly verbalizing this belief, is CRIMINALIZING such speech. If Trump loses this, it will create a very evil precedent for the rest of us.
It will be the end of the First Amendment as we know it.
Pence was more worried about himself on January 6th, and not the country.
He kept secret notes of his conversations with President Trump before January 6th. He's another Comey.
