I’ve never been a truck owner but have a buddy that is. Some years ago he bought a bass boat. The trailer has assisted breaking capabilities. I think the system is rather simple. In the BMW video I mentioned, the camper has active communication with the BMW and actively coordinates breaking and anti-snaking prevention. I thought that was kind of cool even though the max range is about 100 miles or so..

anti-snaking prevention

Don't know how that works. Snaking will happen if a load is not balanced correctly (I'm no expert, know little about best prevention). A couple friends of mine were towing their vintage car behind their truck, to go to a car show several hundred miles away. Unfortunately, snaking happened and both vehicles went off the highway and flipped over. Lots of damage but they only got bruises.

If you're going to tow, balance the load with the center of gravity in mind. Again, I don't know how software in the BMW would do anti-snaking prevention.
