Fair is fair, but our interest is to resolve this matter. Ukraine has limited time to kick the Russians out of the territories it conquered in 2022 and possibly also in 2014. Ukraine should be focused on liberating its lost territories. Its attacks on Russia itself appear mostly to be a diversion and, further, unnecessarily risk escalation.
Once we (Ukraine’s backers) are satisfied Ukraine has done what can be done to move the borders back, we (again, Ukraine’s backers) should support an armistice line backed-up by NATO troops, along with a path to EU and NATO membership. Ditto Moldova, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
Russia will then have a choice: become the next North Korea (in the sense of an isolated nuclear power along with a heavily-armed border) or negotiate in good faith with the west for the restoration of trade and finance, and permanent borders with Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova.
Why do I hear a lisp in my mind when I read that comment? The Ukraine isn’t getting back any territory, it is a dead man walking, a corpse-puppet with the WEF fist shoved up its backside.
