Bringing the war to the Russian population is a bit of a gamble. On one hand it could make the people mad enough to cause Putin to pull out of Ukraine. It’s not exactly a popular war with many military aged men leaving the country to avoid the draft. On the other hand the populace could get behind Putin and inspire more to join the fight. Could go either way.

The office towers that were hit were Russian government ministries, so Ukraine hasn’t targeted civilians in the way that Russia does.

Still happy to see the Muscovites shaken out of their dream world where they can pretend that the war doesn’t exist.

If they keep hitting Moscow then I don’t see it rising anger among regular Russians. They tend to hate Muscovites.
