26 miles of scaffolding. Who owns and receives rent on the scaffolding?

“… his targeting of private buildings owners with $10,000 a month fines for scaffolding that stays up for more than 90 days without building repairs proceeding also suggests selective prosecution.…”

The left’s WAR TO DESTROY THE AMERICAN KULAKS CONTINUES APACE. This is being done for the same reason, using COVID as an excuse, that small businesses were ordered to close while giant businesses such as Amazon, Walmart, Lowe’s and Home Depot remained open and had booming business.

The cool thing about the countries within the US is that if you live in a terrible area, you are free to move. It’s what I did 12 years ago. It’s the third best decision I made my entire life. (first is accepting Christ’s free gift, second is choosing my wife).

NY needs more scaffolding to block the view of the unending ooze of pus that runs all through the city.

If you were a building owner, planned repairs, put up scaffolding, and then had to wait 5 years or more for your permit to perform the repairs, then it might look like what we currently see.

The only time I’ve seen such scaffolding was in the Soviet Union. I was told those scaffolds “had always been there”.

Reminds me of the barricades on the “freeway” through Dallas.

Up next, Mayor Adams will propose putting the homeless on the scaffolding. What could possibly go wrong?

How much has been charged for new equipment just because the old has been left at the old job site?

Sounds like the Sopranos have the scaffolding contract with a 10% kickback to an unnamed “Big Guy”.

Everything in NYC requires a permit....and, a UNION, to complete the job....each specific part of a job.

We watched a (new) public library take over THREE years to be built, once. Who knows how long it ever took to build....might not even be finished, still.

Majority of buildings are ANCIENT and decrepit. Crazy....even when you go to older blue cities like Boston....buildings are at least up to date, while maintaining the original architecture. Not NYC.
