Lol. The fools come home to roost. Under Trump, H-1B visas (skilled workers)remained at the same level as Obama until Trump’s final year in office when he temporarily suspended the program due to COVID.

In fiscal year 2019, about 139,000 new H-1B petitions were approved (another 250,000 were extended); 77,000 L-1 visas were issued, as well as 66,000 H-2B visas for seasonal workers. There were about 200,000 new J-1 workers hired in 2018, according to the latest data available.

Trump’s always been in favor of opening the floodgates to skilled, white-collar workers from overseas. Of course, he never abolished or even spoke about abolishing affirmative action which gives these H1-B immigrants a leg up on white American citizens for job openings.

I have firsthand experience of this in my brother’s attempts to get a job. Affirmative action hires from China and India are hired even though they’re less qualified and have atrocious communication skills in English. They are constantly getting the university jobs he’s applying for. It’s all part of DEI and Affirmative Action. Trump loves these foreign hires. He’s fully in favor of importing them. He’s said so on many occasions.
