There is no way any candidate advocating for a Federal Ban on Abortion will win a National Election, even if the voters agree with them on every other issue.

Lindsay Graham was counting on this effect when he was braying that the first thing the so-called post-Roe-reversal 'red wave' congress would do was a nationwide ban on abortion. He practically shouted it from rooftops.
The result was just what he and the deep state wanted -- it blunted the red-wave and saved the Senate for the Dems.
