As horrible as this is, it’s New York City’s ‘elties’ who take cabs - maybe they should take the subway instead..
“Hellhole for thee but not for me” = the slogan of white liberal ‘elites’. That said I’m sad for the cab driver and strongly suggest he move to Florida or some other Red State.
Elites don’t take cabs, they uber or have a limo standing by.
my guess is they didn’t feel like paying the cabbie at the end of a rude, and he objected.
