Good to see these “educators” going to jail for wanting to look good instead of dealing with the problem.

Hmmm. Apparently they weren’t clear on what MANDATORY REPORTER means.
I know of a couple recent incidents, one of which I was the overall leader for the organization. (It was a report of suicidal ideations that turned out to be unfounded)
It took us about five minutes to alert the proper people and get the kid some help.
Make an example of these dirtbags.

The School District of Palm Beach County said in a statement that all the employees have been reassigned to positions with no contact with students. Since I guess this means they cannot be terminated they are put into limbo so they hopefully quit.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Didn’t even tell the parents, even though they weren’t the abusers. The parents should sue each of them personally, as well as the school.

And to think...many in this country, educrats included, think it’s perfectly okay to withhold such information from parents and law enforcement. I wonder how hard the teachers’ unions in Florida are going to fight these charges in court.

“alleging that the 15-year-old had been assaulted by two students”
Who wants to make bets as to the ethnicity of the students that these adults risked their careers to protect?
To: yesthatjallen
By this same standard, how many teachers should be arrested for just standing by and allowing girls to harass and assault boys?

Those are some rough-looking teacher union members.
They look like people you would never want your kids to be near.

The Palm Beach County School System is large and badly run. Their headquarters though is like an upscale shopping mall, with individual office buildings connected by a lengthy, soaring, air conditioned glass atrium that spares the staff the potential unpleasantness of Florida's weather. The staff enjoy amenities that include two cafeterias, several snack bars, a Starbucks, and an office supplies shop. In my experience, the worst government bureaucracies have the most well-feathered nests.
