As for Trump absolving them, I only know of 42 U.S. Code § 300aa–22, "No vaccine manufacturer shall be liable in a civil action for damages arising from a vaccine-related injury or death associated with the administration of a vaccine after October 1, 1988, if the injury or death resulted from side effects that were unavoidable even though the vaccine was properly prepared and was accompanied by proper directions and warnings."
I don't know of any absolution.
The fact that he defends efforts to develop the vaccine is 100% offset by the fact that he was often and vocally against vaccine mandates.
I am interested to hear of any specific effort by Trump to absolve everyone associated with COVID. (I'm not just saying that-I would really like to see some info about that-I don't think I would have missed it, but...I readily admit, I might have.)
